DUOTTS C29-K (EU) Electric Bike

I've had this bike for about four months now, and after a few upgrades, it's become an excellent commuter. Out of the box, I wasn't impressed. The seat was painful, the brakes were weak, and the manual was useless. But the core components are solid. The battery range is outstanding (70+ km per charge). The motor is smooth and quiet. The 29-inch tires are comfortable. The Shimano drivetrain works perfectly. So I invested in a new seat (€25) and hydraulic brakes (€75), spent an afternoon properly setting everything up, and now the bike is fantastic. It handles my daily commute with ease, and I've done several long weekend rides without any issues. The range is impressive, and the ride is comfortable. If you're willing to put in some extra time and money, this can be a really great bike. If you want something perfect out of the box, spend more money elsewhere. I'm giving it 4 stars because of the value after upgrades. The potential is definitely there, but the out-of-box experience needs improvement. Still, I'm very happy with my purchase now.

Jeg har haft C29-K i et par uger nu, og den har virkelig overgået mine forventninger. Rækkevidden med de to batterier er helt vild – jeg kører 20 km om dagen og har kun ladet den én gang. Die zwei Akkus sind ein absoluter Gamechanger – ich pendle jeden Tag 20 km zur Arbeit und hab das Ding in der ersten Woche kein einziges Mal geladen. Über 150 km schafft man wirklich locker, wenn man nicht wie ein Bekloppter den ganzen Tag Vollgas gibt. Die 29-Zoll-Reifen rollen so schön über die ganzen Schlaglöcher in unserer Stadt, und die hydraulischen Bremsen greifen bei jeder Witterung zuverlässig. Ich hab mir noch den Zusatzakku auf den Gepäckträger geschnallt, und jetzt hab ich echt null Reichweitenangst mehr. Klar, das Rad ist kein Leichtgewicht, aber für die Power und den Komfort nehm ich das gerne in Kauf. Wer viel unterwegs ist oder einfach keine Lust hat, ständig an die Steckdose zu denken, sollte sich das Ding mal anschauen – ich bereue nichts.

Das Fahren mit dem C29-K macht einfach Spaß – der Motor schiebt schön gleichmäßig, und die 21 Gänge von Shimano sind perfekt abgestimmt. Ich wohne in einer Gegend mit vielen Hügeln, und selbst steile Passagen meistert das Rad ohne Probleme. Die hydraulischen Scheibenbremsen geben einem ein sicheres Gefühl, gerade wenn’s mal schnell bergab geht oder die Straße nass ist. Das Display ist übersichtlich, und ich kann sogar mein Handy während der Fahrt laden – praktisch, wenn man wie ich oft unterwegs ist und das Navi braucht. Der einzige kleine Wermutstropfen ist das Gewicht, aber das stört mich beim Fahren überhaupt nicht. Für lange Touren oder den täglichen Arbeitsweg ist das Teil einfach ideal. Ich hab’s mir für den Preis wirklich gut überlegt, aber nach den ersten Kilometern wusste ich, dass es die richtige Entscheidung war.

De 29-inch banden geven veel grip en de verende voorvork maakt het rijden comfortabel, zelfs op slechte wegen. Het scherm is overzichtelijk en de Bluetooth-app werkt prima. Het frame is stevig en de afwerking is netjes. Het enige minpuntje is het gewicht, maar dat hoort bij een fiets met zoveel batterijcapaciteit. Al met al een echte aanrader voor wie veel kilometers maakt.
